DailyArt

Free (In-App Purchase)
ios/Android
As the name suggests, it is an APP that recommends you paintings on a daily basis. And there will be the painting appreciation, as well as the story behind the painting. After in-app purchase, you can remove the ads and watch over 2,000 paintings, read biographies of 700 artists and information about 500 museum collections. The free version is enough for me. There are also some small surprises to discover.
WikiArt

Free
ios/Android
This is an art app owned by Wiki, which has 250,000 artworks by 3.000 artists. I think it's more suitable for people with some artistic foundations. Because the app classifies painters according to the genre and popularity of the paintings, it also introduces some of their most famous works. The downside is that the font on the app is a bit smaller.
APP is completely free, and like Wikipedia, relying on donations and advertising as a source of business, interested people can donate money to encourage them. In fact, the PC version of wikiart is more detailed, and it has the taste of an encyclopedia. It also knows which painting styles the painter influenced the painter, when is the peak of the painting, and so on.
iMuseum

Free
ios/Android
English/Chinese
The iMuseum is a collection of App Store 2014. It is an app that introduces the current global exhibitions. It allows you to keep abreast of the best exhibitions around you, develop your own exhibition plan, and share your photography. I would like to look at the exhibition list when I'm about to travel to the city. Sometimes I can make some expectations based on the photos uploaded by other users. It is a very practical app.
Exhibitionary

Free
ios/Android
After selecting the city, you can view all the local art exhibitions and contents that are currently being held. The cities now include Berlin, Basel, Cologne, Düsseldorf, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Vienna, and Zurich. Most of the artists introduced are contemporary new artists.
Artsy
