Speaking of Frida Kahlo, many people will pay tribute. Not only because she led the Mexican art that was once not widely acknowledged to the international arena.

Also, because her artistic attainments and influence have penetrated into every aspect of film, fashion, design, and other culture.

Even when Picasso saw her portrait, he lamented that he could not paint a self-portrait like Frida.

The Louvre Museum, the world's top four museums, also houses Frida's work.

In fact, the first self-portrait was painted when Frida was sick on her bed for her first boyfriend.

That year she was only 18 years old. A car accident broke her spine seriously. The iron handrail pierced her pelvis which led to the extreme difficulty to be pregnant all over her life.

Most people reckoned that she would be lying in bed since then. But under the influence and encouragement of her father, the photographer who worked hard all his life, she started painting with the plaster wrapped.
